KULLAS, GP OF THE USA, GLEN HELEN

The finishing 15th place of the teenager Harri Kullas in the GP of the USA did not reflect at all the super performance of the young finnish rider terribly unlucky in both motos at Glen Helen. In the first moto Kullas after a great start was 2nd behind race leader Marvin Musquin but after three laps he experienced mechanical troubles and his race was over when he could have finished in the top 3. In the second moto the finn was riding in the top 10 when the Redbull bridge collapsed onto the track and trapped the unfortunate rider! Unhurt Kullas still classified 10th because the race was stopped by the race directors 7 minutes before the end ! Despite all this, Kullas showed once again he can stay in the top pack of the MX2 class in the 2010 World championship. French Christophe Charlier did not participate to the US GP and he is taking care of his injured hand and will be back for the GP of France next weekend !

Harri Kullas, Yamaha Monster Energy Gariboldi, 15th:

“In the first race I had really a good start. I was in fourth at the end of the straight and then up to second around the next corner but after three laps we had problems with the bike and that was it. Just bad luck and nothing we could do. We changed the engines and I did the best I could in the second moto. I had a good start in seventh or eight position and my riding was going good and I was being smart until the bridge came down on my head! I was lucky not to hurt and somehow still finished tenth. The Glen Helen track had a bit of everything and I enjoyed it.”
