After the start of the 2014 season in Qatar, the Grand Prix Circus moved in hot Thailand back to Pattaya for the second round.

The weekend just started very well for the young Tim GAJSER with a 6th overall in the Time Practice showing once more that Tim has the speed to play for the top positions this year. On the Sunday in the first moto Gajser took an average start in 16th but with a strong ride he managed to get through and finish 12th on a track where it was very difficult to pass the riders in front. In the second moto Gajser started in the top ten and pushing from the first lap he passed the Italian Lupino and got the 8th place just tracking the wheels of the russian Tonkov for the 7th place when due to a technical problem he was obliged to abandon the race. A great misfortune for Tim who could have finished in the top five.

The Japanese KEI YAMAMOTO had again a positive start of the Grand Prix by taking his second point in the Championship by finishing 20th in the first moto but in the second he crashed badly on a double and was forced to retire with a swollen knee.

The Team is now on his way back to Europe to prepare the third round of the season which will be hosted by the Brazilian Federation on the fabulous track of Beto Carrero, stay tuned and follow us on our website and Facebook page !

Giacomo Gariboldi, Team Manager: “This was really a pity for Tim who was riding a great race in the second moto and could have finished in the top five but, the championship is very long and we have seen already many riders loosing important points and with 16 GP’s to be run everything can happen. I’m very sorry for Kei’s crash but hopefully he will pass some exams on the knee and the shoulder as soon as he is back to Italy and he will be okay to race in Brazil at the end of the month.”
