FIM MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – ROUND #5 – BULGARIA

SIXTH AND EIGHTH FOR TIM GAJSER IN BULGARIA

Another strong and solid Grand Prix for the young slovenian TIM GAJSER on the spectacular bulgarian track of Sevlievo.

TIM-BULG

After an unlucky qualifying race on the Saturday which saw Gajser crashing twice when in third place and forced to retire, the kid did not give up his hopes for the GP on Sunday despite starting from the last gate available and, in race #1 he showed an impressive performance passing at least twenty riders in his first lap and finishing a brilliant 6th of the race and confirming once more his brilliant speed. In race #2, starting again from the widest gate, Gajser was back in the top 5 after only three laps and was ready to go catching the fourth position when in a tight corner he touched hard the edge of the track with the right radiator and broke it but could manage to finish the race in 8th position for an overall 8th of the GP on the same points of the sixth and seventh. After this GP Gajser enter the top 8 of the World Championship with 13 GPs still to be run.

 KEI-BULG

The Japanese KEI YAMAMOTO was meeting for the first time the very testing conditions of the bulgarian track after four days of consecutive rain and could only manage to finish 23rd and 21st in the two races of the day gathering a lot of experience for the next GPs.

The Motocross World Championship will be back in two weeks time on the dutch sandy track of Valkenswaard, stay tuned and follow us on our website and Facebook pages !

Giacomo Gariboldi, Team Manager: “We are delighted to have saved the GP with Gajser after the big crash in the qualifying race of saturday where Tim came out with a very sore knee. Srtarting from the widest gate in both races was not an easy task and everything could happen in the first corner when you are behind but Tim was really impressive and he passed twenty riders in one lap and came out in the top seven after only one lap! I saw this happening just with the very top riders in recent years. He is progressing fast and every GP he looks to me stronger in his mind and ready to go for the next step.”
