After so many good races this year in the World Championship, it was in the air for the 17 years old Tim GAJSER the big shot in the highly competitive MX2 class and, the slovenian emerged as a real star taking his very much deserved first podium of a very young career on the spectacular circuit of Matterley Basin in the Grand Prix of Great Britain !

Gajser rode a very good first race starting in tenth position and coming through the pack to finish 4th and closing for third in the last lap, but the best had yet to come with his second race where, after another start in tenth position, he quickly joined the group battling for the third place and, despite having lost some precious seconds behind Ferrandis who made a mistake, he fought back to close the gap on Tixier, Febvre and Tonkov and made some impressive passes on his CRF250RW leaving the trio fighting for the fourth position and crossing the line in third behind Herlings and Tonus and finishing 3rd overall of the GP with the same points of the second Tonus. After this new impressive performance Gajser now has gained the 6th position of the World Championship and is pointing to the top five !

Another positive performance arrived in Great Britain from KEI YAMAMOTO who is learning every weekend how tough is the World Championship MX2 and battling hard in the second race of the day he was able to take home another two points which weight gold for the young japanese rider.

Filippo GRIGOLETTO, last year’s Honda 150 European Championship winner was at the start of the European EMX2 but failed to qualify for the finals.

The ninth round of the World Championship will move to France at the beautiful venue of St. Jean D’Angely, stay tuned and follow us on our website and Facebook pages !

Giacomo Gariboldi, Team Manager: “Today we have assisted at a breathtaking performance of Tim, nobody could believe that he was ready so soon for the next step but he did it and he did it in great style ! In the second race he passed the much more experienced riders in front with the maturity of a veteran and with the style of a true Champion, he is growing so fast that I don’t want to put any limit to his rise, from now on he can do anything and surprise us even more. I’m so happy for his dad and for his Family because this podium rewards them for all the sacrificies they have made for Tim during all these years, they really deserve this success.”
