The Honda Gariboldi Team continues its partnership with Honda HRC in 2016 after the great 2015 which graduated the team and the young slovenian Tim Gajser World Champions MX2, the second title after the win of the European Championship 2009. The team’s first year racing with Honda machinery in 2012, saw the Team earn a podium finish in Lierop, along with many top five placings. And although 2013 proved to be slightly more difficult, in 2014 Tim Gajser finished 5th overall hitting the podium six times for his first season on the CRF250RW. In 2015 the 19 year-old Slovenian hot-shot Tim Gajser hit the highest step of the podium five times in his fantastic 2015 season which crowned him World Champion, becoming the hottest prospect for the years to come in the MXGP class where he will move this season. In 2016 the slovenian teams up with the spanish hope Jorge Zaragoza and the new entry David Herbreteau in the MX2 series.


GIACOMO GARIBOLDI, involved in his family’s Fine Art printing business and as well in thoroughbred horses breeding, is a great passionate of Motocross and wished to create a team to give to young riders the best support with a professional and structured operation. The goal is to take the most talented young riders  to compete at top level in the FIM Motocross World Championship, creating a unique and top quality squad with the ultimate objective of a win of a world championship.



MASSIMO CASTELLI doesn’t need any introduction; one of the most appreciated and known technician in Europe; since 1982 has been associated with the top Team of the MX GP paddock and has won twice the Motocross World Championship with Dave Strijbos (CAGIVA) and Donny Schmit (YAMAHA-TEAM RINALDI). Champions under his care were Corrado Maddii, Bob Moore, Yves Demaria, Talon Vohland, Alessandro Belometti, Chicco Chiodi, Dave Strijbos, Edi Orioli (winner of the PARIS-DAKAR), and Ron Haslam on the CAGIVA 500cc in road racing.

The Team has his new headquarters, workshop and facilities in Marnate (Varese), just a few minutes away from the Milano Malpensa Airport.

For the 2016 World Championship season the staff will include the very experienced NICO NOGE’, former mechanic of many top riders in the World Championship and now the mechanic of the World Champion TIM GAJSER MXGP,  CLAUDIO MORIGGI mechanic of the new rider JORGE ZARAGOZA MX2, the very well known in the MX circus,  STEFANO SOLIGO mechanic of the new recruit DAVID HERBRETEAU MX2, SIMONE DI MEO in the role of assistant mechanic and ALBERTO MARANGOTTO driver of the Team,  while ELISE PROVINS  will manage the hospitality.
