The HONDA GARIBOLDI TEAM after 7 years with YAMAHA and the last two season as Factory Team will switch to HONDA for what will be the third FIM MX-GP Motocross World Championship season in 2012. The Team will be also engaged for the first time in the AMA SUPERCROSS LITES WEST COAST World Championship in the USA giving to the Team a double exposure on both sides of the Motocross world. The Italian squad is well known to have won the 2009 European Championship and having discovered the talent of promising Finn Harri Kullas in the highly competitive MX2-GP class. In 2012 the crew will be represented by two of the best new youngsters now available in the MX2 class, the british MAX ANSTIE (18 yrs old), 6th in the 2011 World Championship and best newcomer of the season and the russian talent ALEKSANDR TONKOV (18 yrs old) a fututure star ready to shine. Team Gariboldi impressed with the set-up and dedication to bringing through the hottest young stars on the European motocross scene. The rise of the Team’s profile led to an agreement with HONDA-HM and Team Principal Giacomo Gariboldi’s belief in the potential of his riders and his set-up’s capabilities to bring the HONDA brand and the CRF250R at the forefront of MX2-GP.

GIACOMO GARIBOLDI, involved in his family’s Fine Art printing business and as well in thoroughbred horses breeding, is a great passionate of Motocross and wished to create a new operation to give young selected riders the best support with a professional and structured team. The goal is to take talented young riders to compete in Europe at top level in the FIM MX-GP World Championship and in the USA in the AMA Supercross Lites, creating a unique operation involved on both sides of the Motocross world. |

MASSIMO CASTELLI doesn’t need any introduction; one of the most appreciated and known technician in Europe; since 1982 has been associated with the top Team of the MX GP paddock and has won twice the Motocross World Championship with Dave Strijbos (CAGIVA) and Donny Schmit (YAMAHA-TEAM RINALDI). Champions under his care were Corrado Maddii, Bob Moore, Yves Demaria, Talon Vohland, Alessandro Belometti, Chicco Chiodi, Dave Strijbos, Edi Orioli (winner of the PARIS-DAKAR), and Ron Haslam on the CAGIVA 500cc in road racing. |
The Team has his new headquarters, workshop and facilities in Marnate (VA), just a few minutes away from the Milano Malpensa Airport.

For the 2012 World Championship season the staff will be completed with Massimo Tamboloni mechanic of the rider MAX ANSTIE, and Stefano Soligo mechanic of the rider ALEKSANDR TONKOV.
